Graduate Student receives ASCE Geo-Institute Scholarship 2026
Bijay Nepal, E.I.T., (current M.S. student) has been named a 2026 Mike Alizadeh / Geotechnology Scholarship recipient by the Geo-Institute Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) St. Louis Section. The award includes a $5,000 prize and recognizes his academic excellence and contributions to geotechnical engineering, including research on freeze–thaw damage in geomaterials. Read more

New Program: BS in Environmental Engineering

The Ph.D. program in Civil and Environmental Engineering provides students with an unparalleled opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research alongside world-class faculty at an R1 institution.
This immersive experience ensures exposure to the latest advancements in the field and offers extensive professional development, preparing graduates for successful careers in both industry and academia.
Four specialized fields of study are provided within the program, which correlate directly with the School of CEIE's core areas of research and instruction:

ASCE students take first at symposium
“Our ASCE student chapter competed in the ASCE Mid-America Student Symposium at Lincoln, Nebraska, in collaboration with Utility Engineering & Surveying Institute (UESI) Surveying and placed first overall.
Our team will participate in the 2025 ASCE UESI Surveying Society-wide Competition Finals. June 27-29, 2025, in San Luis Obispo, California.
